Ramona Theatre

Frederick, Oklahoma

As of this posting, Society of the Haunted is the only paranormal investigative team to have ever investigated the Ramona Theatre in Frederick, Oklahoma. Thanks to Ken for finding this location for us! Frederick was originally conceived to be a prospering town along the road between Texas and central Oklahoma and the Ramona was part of that grand vision. However, that never really came to fruition. Now restored, the theater does offer performances throughout the year. Personal paranormal experiences at the Ramona were mild, but we captured some interesting evidence.

The Old City Cemetery

Galveston, Texas

In Galveston, Texas the "Old City Cemetery" is really seven cemeteries that grew together over decades of time. It pre-dates the Great 1900 Storm and is the final resting place for many American Civil War soldiers. Nicaragua Smith haunts this cemetery. A Confederate firing squad executed him in the cemetery on the night of January 8, 1863. You an hear a screaming and cursing the Confederate States rifle squad on the anniversary of his death. You can see strange lights and have the feeling of being watched while here.

Fort Chaffee

Fort Smith, Arkansas

The historic Fort Chaffee medical complex was a fantastic two-day investigation for us in the sweltering heat of June. Unfortunately, the complex was destroyed in a fire August 4, 2011, just a month and a half after we'd investigated. Since we were heading out to another investigation in Arkansas that weekend, we stopped by to capture footage of the wreckage and witnesed the fire rekindle at the fort.

Cimarron Tower

Cushing, OK

Formerly the Cushing Hotel, Society of the Haunted was asked to come investigate this location due to all the activity they had going on in various rooms throughout the building. It was an interesting evening with some unusual personal experiences and a few captured EVPs.

Ellison Hall

University of Oklahoma

Ellison Hall was once an infirmary on the University of Oklahoma campus, and we were given the rare opportunity to investigate its rumored haunts. While the mysteriously small basement was eerie, it was the third floor where the operating rooms had once been that proved to have the most activity.
